How long do I have to complete my course?

Are case studies accepted on mannequin hands?

We will accept your case studies on mannequin hands, yes.  We also accept case studies on toes. Aslong as the application of UV gel polish is clear and appropriately seen.

How can I get the best outcome from a gel manicure?

Don’t apply your coats of polish too thick and make sure they are an even thickness. Pay attention to the cuticles and the sides, as this is where polish can get thicker if you have too much polish on the brush. Thinner is better to ensure proper curing and reduce the likelihood of peeling or chipping. To remove extra polish from the brush, circle the inside neck of the bottle and press the excess Gel Nail Polish off the stem of the brush.

My clients are saying their polish is lifting after a couple of days, what can I do to prevent this?

If your clients nails are peeling this means that you have not dehydrated the natural nail enough.
If you apply polish on a nail that has too much moisture, it can chip and peel sooner than it should. This is the reason why you should apply nail polish remover or alcohol right before applying the gel polish. ... This will make sure the product adheres better to the nail.

What is the difference between acrylic nails and uv gel nails?

Uv gel nails are a type of polish, this polish is a hardened, more durable version of regular nail polish and is cured under a UV light. Acrylic nails build the nail and are potentially more harmful for the natural nail.

Can my client remove her own gel nails at home?

As gel nails are cured and hardened to the natural nail we would always recommend for these to be removed by a trained professional. If your client is to remove these at home this can cause significant damage to their nail beds.
